The Palma Match, or World Championship of Long Range Rifle Shooting is the most prestigious team event in our sport.

With individuals trialling and teams training for years in order to compete, it is small wonder that a Palma badge from a competitive nation, let alone a medal, is a highly sought after item.

Shooters have competed to earn this honour since September 1876, when the Great Centennial Rifle Match was held on Creedmoor rifle range in New York State

This Palma Match Target Rifle was on the winning UK British Shooting Team that won the 1970 Parma Match International Competitions beating the USA International Shooting team.

Only 70 rifles were build for the 1970 event for the British Shooting Team by Fultons of Bisley.

This will be of great interest to the Lee Enfield Collectors as only a total of 526 Enfield Envoys were ever built by R.S.A/F Enfield in 1969.

This rifle serial number E292 is one of only 70 out of 526 ever built so from a collectors point of view this is a very rare Lee Enfield to own.

We understand there were only two owners of this rifle, one being the UK National Shooting Team (1970)  and the last owner who was a Lee Enfield Collector not a shooter.

We have inspected this rifle and it looks like the barrel was manufactured yesterday not back in 1970.  Almost un-used other for the 1970 Parma Match International Competitions.

Fully matching numbers from the photos as you can see.
